The Story of our Iso Peanut

    We get asked a lot, "A what peanut!?" I wanted to share a little bit about it and how it became one of our local favorites. It is a peanut, wrapped in a rice cracker and coated in our signature chocolate. Think...the perfect amount of crunchy, salty, and sweet! 
 Before Kona Mountain Coffee, my parents had a shop called Kona Confections. This was a kid's dream to grow up in. Chocolates of all kinds and all different flavors of popcorn(Toffee, Macadamia Nut, Mochi Pop, Guava). One day my Dad came home with this big bucket...yes, a BUCKET of chocolate-covered iso peanuts. It was his newest creation. My dad would come up with all sorts of goodies and in our house, we were all about sweet and salty combined. At one point we even had a chocolate potato chip bark(I still wish we had this).
 The chocolate-covered Iso Peanut instantly became my favorite. Sadly, Kona Confections closed down. In 2007 when we opened up Kona Mountain Coffee and my Dad said we were going to be doing chocolates as well, my very first question was, "So...we're making Iso peanuts right?"
